Dr. Gary M. Louie

Dr. Gary Louie is a 5th generation Californian and was born and raised here in the East Bay Area! He graduated with Highest Honors from the University of California at Berkeley and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He then received his doctorate in Optometry in 1979 from the University of California at Berkeley School of Optometry. Dr. Louie has been serving the vision and health needs of our community since 1980 when he first came to Union City. During those years he also was the staff optometrist at the U.S. Guard Support Center Alameda for 19 years. Dr. Louie also served as an Expert Examiner for the State Board of Optometry assisting in evaluating the clinical skills of optometric candidates applying for licensure to practice optometry in California.

Dr. Julie Chen

Dr. Julie Chen grew up in southern California and graduated from UCLA with honors. In 2000, she graduated from UC Berkeley school of Optometry and went on to complete a residency program in geriatrics and primary care optometry at the West Los Angeles Veterans' Medical Center. Dr. Chen is a fellow of American Academy of Optometry and is fluent in Mandarin. Dr. Chen is married with two children who are her pride and joy. In her spare time, she enjoys classical music, hiking, and traveling. Taking care of patients' vision and eye health is a privilege to Dr. Chen.

Dr. Clarissa Sin

Dr. Clarissa Sin earned her undergraduate education from the University of California at Davis in Genetics and Economics. She went on to complete her doctorate at the State University of New York’s School of Optometry in 2009. Dr. Sin is licensed to treat many eye conditions including glaucoma, dry eyes, corneal reshaping, and surgery co-management. She enjoys working with patients of every age and has developed a fondness for pediatric eye care and vision therapy.
